Findings from excavations prove that there was already a vineyard blooming around 2000 years ago in Badacsony, and probably even in the Celts era there were vineyards in the countryside. The wines of the Prónay Castle come from the northern shore of Lake Balaton, the Badacsony Wine Region.
The vineyard on Mount Örsi has been in the possession of the owner and family of the Prónay Castle for 40 years. The luscious Olaszrizling is
produced on the three hectares of the Csendes Dűlő Vineyard with its unparalleled panoramic view. The Hárslevelű and the fiery Szürkebarát, the "gentleman's wine,
or the nobility of the nobles", the curiosity Kéknyelű, Hungary's most ancient, wine only growing from this wine region.
The wines from the vineyards of the family estate are prepared by the Prónay Castle in the winery of the Schieszl Wine House.

In Alsópetény we make our own handcraft products using the lavender of 1000 plants in the garden of Lavender Cottage. These include lavender syrup, lavender fruit jams, and lavender bags.
